Job Title- Midstream OT- Network Engineer
The Midstream OT Network Engineer will work with IT Management, subject matter experts, third-party vendors and business representatives to ensure network solutions are engineered to align with organizational objectives, and compliant with standards and best practices.  They will draw upon non-technical skills to facilitate customer requirements, and technical skills to produce solutions and implementation plans.  Teamwork and collaboration with other supporting staff is critical to success.  Industrial knowledge as to the use and functionality of critical infrastructure and operational technology is preferred.

 Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer, specializing in Cisco routing and switching.
  2. Proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructure.
  3. Strong understanding of routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
  4. Experience configuring, and troubleshooting security / WAN protocols: IPSec, DMVPN preferred.
  5. Good knowledge of SDWAN and associated technologies.
  6. Advanced understanding of network monitoring and analysis tools: Solarwinds, CA Spectrum, wireshark.
  7. Experience with wireless bridges: Cambium Networks, Cisco preferred.
  8. Experience with Cisco ISE or related AAA servers
  9. Previous experience working in an Operational Technology environment, including SCADA and industrial control systems preferred.
  10. Cisco CCNA or CCNP preferred.
  11. Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Designs, develops, and implements Information Technology (IT) solutions to business problems in collaboration with Midstream OT Solutions Architects.
  2. Implements and supports wireless technologies, including cellular, satellite, and microwave, to provide robust and secure connectivity.
  3. Prioritizes and escalates Midstream customer segment network issues to the Enterprise Network group and, when necessary, follows Enterprise Network standards and procedures to remediate critical issues for said client.
  4. Champions the need for solution design to meet business requirements and alignment to the overall strategy of IT.
  5. Collaborates with others to identify areas of opportunity for improvement through integration, automation and enhanced business capabilities and ensure we are fully utilizing and benefiting from tools across the enterprise.
  6. Collaborates with others, as an escalated level of support, to resolve major underlying technology issues which arise within project or a product as needed. Identifies opportunities to make significant changes in the process to eliminate outages, reduce waste, improve process and execution efficiencies, and improve communication across the organization.
  7. Develops, updates, and maintains conceptual and logical network architecture designs to support current state of technologies and solutions identifying long term sustainability of the approach in place. 
  8. Participation in after hours on call rotation is required.
  9. Perform special projects and other duties as required.
  10. Provide updates weekly, monthly, or as requested.
  11. Supports the corporate culture by personal involvement in activities to enhance performance in Health, Environment, Safety & Corporate Social Responsibility.
